Aulus: Story

In Aulus’ home stored a powerful battleaxe long forgotten by the Leonins. Legend has it that this battleaxe had fought alongside their ancestors and achieved countless feats, and within it lied great power. But after a century of peace and security, this weapon of war was gradually ignored and despised by the Leonins, and even worse, it became a farming tool used to chop firewood.

But unlike his people, Aulus had been wishing that one day he’d become a respected warrior, like his ancestors as they held their battleaxe and fought valiantly on the battlefield. And yet the battleaxe in his home was no different than an ordinary axe, and holding it felt like holding a large chunk of iron with its unusually heavy weight.

Even so, Aulus firmly believed in the legend of the battleaxe and carried it with him wherever he went. Every time he patrolled the Leonins’ territory with his battleaxe, he felt the axe looked a bit mightier and he was one step closer to achieving his dream. Therefore, Aulus patrolled like a warrior every day without failing, come what may.

However, the other Leonins laughed at him for his daily patrol, saying that Aulus was as plain ordinary as his axe and yet always daydreaming of being a legendary hero, only it was under the protection of the magic barrier. Seeing that his dream and ancestors’ honor was brought down and crushed, Aulus could bear no more and beat the Leonin who humiliated him, and his own people had since feared and alienated him.

Aulus saw that instead of solving the problem, his rage further aggravated their misunderstandings, so he made the decision to leave the forest and go on an adventure with his battleaxe, to prove himself with great feats.

Aulus suppressed his hot temper, trying to blend into the human society and look for opportunities to achieve his dream. But to his surprise, the outside world had lots of prejudices against the Leonins.

Once Aulus wanted to follow the caravans to the Moniyan Empire and join the army, but the caravan leader said the small Leonins were better suited being jesters in the palace, instead of going to the battles. Aulus thus went north to Northern Vale, but they only hire him to clean up the battlefield. And when he finally had a chance to fight with the army, another soldier rubbed Aulus’ ear and said he reminded him of his cute kitten at home…

All of this enraged Aulus, but he put up with it. He kept honing his battle skills and rushed to the frontline without fear, hoping that he’d one day be recognized at the triumphant ceremony. Yet on the ceremony he’d long been waiting for, the general gave the honor that should belong to Aulus to a rookie soldier. Aulus could bear it no longer and questioned him, and to his surprise, the drunk general answered honestly that he didn’t think a Leonin deserved to lead humans.

No longer could Aulus tolerate all these prejudices. He left the camp overnight and headed to the Lantis Mountains with only one goal in mind – he would fight the demons to prove that a Leonin could become a great warrior too.

Alone on the Lantis Mountains, Aulus faced a much more dangerous challenge than ever before. Standing in front of swarms of evil demons, he could no longer hold back the burning rage inside. After the lonesome, persistent journey full of his own people’s taunts, other races’ prejudices and the unfairness of the world, all the emotions he’d suppressed poured out into his battle with the demons. Strike after strike, the dark and dull battleaxe began to emit a glowing light as written in the legend – Aulus’ indomitable rage awoke the battleaxe that had been in slumber for a century!

At that moment, Aulus felt power surging into both of his hands and the battleaxe was no longer heavy like iron. Surprised, he found the battleaxe alive and could keep enhancing as his rage increased. Aulus was beyond elated, and as if responding to his emotions, the battleaxe grew even brighter. They fought side by side and faced no opponent, the demons all turning into dust under the powerful axe before they could even flee.

On the Lantis Mountains, another group were also fighting to prove their powers – Benedetta and her ranger squad, and Aulus joined them without much hesitation. He believed that through battles, he’d become a respected warrior one day. At this time, he’d no longer be fighting for himself, but to prove his strength to the whole Land of Dawn and to crush people’s prejudices against the Leonins.

Barats Story

The Politans who live between Albata and the Moniyan Empire are very similar to mankind. They are small creatures, yet extraordinarily smart. These dwarfs built their homeland within a low mountain basin and are constantly obsessed with money and riches.

Barats was born in such a Politan village, and he was born a naughty boy. Everyone in the village was annoyed by his trouble making nature. And such a childish personality didn't change even after Barats grew up. He had the same lust for money as his kind, but Barats hated learning and working. He would spend his entire day and free time, dreaming that he could miraculously get rich overnight.

The villagers disliked Barats for his laziness, and they were subsequently thinking about chasing him out. This greatly angered Barats, who as a result sneaked into the village's sacred place, stole a precious item which was believed to be holy by everyone, and fled the place. The thing he stole was a treasure map. With the guidance of that treasure map, Barats arrived at the distant Albata. However, upon his arrival, he was disappointed by the what he saw.

There was nothing in view but desert sands and desolate ruins. All the marked locations on the treasure map were now covered in sand dunes and where nowhere to be found. Barats didn't want to give up like this. He kept going forward in his search for the legendary Los Pecados. He wanted to try his luck there. But Barats lost his way along the journey. He hadn't eaten on drunk anything for days, and now he just lied on the ground, tired and waiting for death.

But it was at this moment that a small dragon lizard appeared in front of him and guided Barats to a water body. Maybe it was the gratitude he felt for it's help, maybe it was the same loneliness they shared together, or maybe it was just the fact that he needed a companion on his boring journey. Barats took this dragon lizard with him and agreed to put it on his backpack . Barats even named it Detona.

With Detona's company, Barats' adventure hunt was no longer lonely or dull. He would often share his ambition with this little guy, promising that he would impress everyone from his villager and do something truly amazing. As time went by, however, Barats was shocked by how fast and enormous this small lizard could grow into. It grew bigger and heavier every day and the pace of it's growth was unusually fast.

Only a few months had passed, but Detona had already grown much bigger than Barats. Barats was ecstatic and he would often ride on Detona's back and explore the desert. Together, they encountered and conquered many difficulties but unfortunately, the good times never last long. A sandstorm came out of nowhere, and Barats and Detona were separated by the gusting wind and the raging desert sands. They couldn't find each other.

After the sandstorm died, Barats searched and searched in the desert. But he never found any trace of Detona, and his supplies of water and food were about to run out. They had built a strong bond and relationship with each other in these days of hardships. Yet when faced with a dire situation, Barats had to make the hard decision. He half-heartedly stopped looking for Detona and went on his way to the Los Pecados.

Years later, Barats had learned a few tricks in the Los Pecados. He used his skills to gather information for a local gang and made a living out of it. He muddled through the days and gradually forgot past his friend Detona. There was this one time when Barats found his chance to become successful. He sneaked his way into the renowned "Steel Hands" hunter group and went out into the desert with them, hunting for giant monsters and beasts. Their target was apparently a rare dinosaur. That lizard was strangely large and had the ability to breathe and absorb energy.

The "Steel Hands" hunter group had been tracking this enormous lizard for about twenty days. They used all the weapons packed in their armory and, after suffering great loss in both man power and weaponry, they finally managed capture the weary dragon lizard. Everyone rejoiced, including Barats, for that person who hired them had put a big bounty on this dragon lizard's head. His share of that bounty would be very handsome, and everyone would respect his achievement.

As the group reveled in joy, Barats approached the giant beast and took a closer look at it. When their eyes met, Barats recognized that it was actually his long lost friend, Detona! Barats didn't know what to do. Detona was his friend, who had saved his life on multiple occasions, but that bounty would give him enough riches to live the carefree life he longed for. He hesitated for a long while, and then he did something that a Politan would never do. Friendship triumphed over his desire for wealth, and Barats started to release Detona from the shackles by breaking open the chains. Having now broken free, Detona roared ferociously, and Barats leaped onto it's back. It was like the good old days, except that Detona had grown even bigger.

The dinosaur strode forward and knocked down the surprised hunters off guard. And just like that, Detona and Barats disappeared into the distance. A few months later, Barats showed up at the gates of his dreams, Los Pecados, riding the intimidating giant lizard. He brought some hidden desert treasures which he had found with the help of Detona. Marveled by such riches, the Los Pecados's hunters and gangsters grew to respect Barats and started calling him the Dino Rider.

In the next couple of years, Barats and Detona traveled between Los Pecados and the desert lands. They had become the most famous black market traders in the entire region. There is a saying spread across the desert: If you have some good stuff to sell, or if you want to find a way to join the Los Pecados Gang, then you should seek Barats the Dino Rider. But beware, you will have to offer a good price.

Luo Yi: Story

On the border of Dongyu and the Moniyan Plains, Luo Yi, who always stood on the top of the mountain along, faced towards Dongyu, the place where her hometown is located, and continued observing the flow of stars. She waited for the changes in the stars and also for the appearance of someone she had always been waiting for.

Recalling the era of warfare in remote areas, the war between light and darkness had spread throughout the Land of Dawn, which unexpectedly, created disasters and destroyed many lives and property. During this period, many powerful races suffered greatly. This made the Dragon God, who loved peace, feel sorry. Therefore, he and his friend, Black Dragon, led many new and old races who didn't wish to be involved in this war, to begin an unprecedented migration. In this dangerous and challenging process, ignorant human beings became the protagonists of the migration journey and during that time, they were divided into two streams, due to their different choice of opinions.

After arriving at Dongyu, they acted independently and in opposition. Those who supported the ideas of peace and stability of the Dragon God become his disciples and focused on increasing their inner strength, while those who pursued strength and advocate using force to solve problems become warriors of the Black Dragon. The warriors gained the all the absolute power that they had dreamed of, and became stronger. Then, they executed a secret plan to control Dongyu by force, overthrow the order established by the Dragon God, and help Black Dragon, become the ruler of Dongyu.

In the years that followed, the contradictions between the Black Dragon and the Dragon God became increasingly sharp, and there were also a constant dispute between the soldiers of Black Dragon and the disciples of the Dragon God. To stop the impending war, the Dragon God had to force the Black Dragon down by force, and then summon his soul within the Reverse Scales and seal it in the Forbidden Soul Area, forever.

The soldiers who had relied on Black Dragon, were completely driven out of Dongyu and they evntually became homeless in the Land of Dawn. However, when Black Dragon was sealed, he wrote his will and promised the soldiers, that a thousand years later, he would be reincarnated into this country, to finish what he had started. He believed, at that time, a great change would occur in Dongyu and the soldiers would continue to fulfill their mission.

The fall of Black Dragon, made the soldiers feel very frustrated and they fell into despair. From that moment on, the soldiers surprisingly disappeared from Dongyu, and as time went on, their descendants, who too were scattered all over the place, chose life as ordinary people and did not pursue strength or let alone continue their mission. Although the glory of the soldiers had disappeared for a thousand years, there were still, a number of descendants who had survived the mission for several generations and greatly expected the reincarnation of Black Dragon; so that they could rebuild the order.

Among the decendants, were strong mages, with power from heaven and earth. Luo Yi was one of them. For as long as Luo Yi could remember, she had listened to legends that the world had forgotten with her father's strict guidance, including the overly arrogant Black Dragon, the strong warrior, Dongyu- the land full of freedom, and the war that shook the world. She also knew clearly, that the thriving of the descendants of these warriors and the reincarnation that Black Dragon was destined to have were ti occur soon, no matter what. And Luo Yi vowed to carry out this old mission, herself.

Luo Yi followes her father's will to find the reincarnated Black Dragon and rebuild her section of warriors, due to a sense of obligation for the mission that was built since her childhood and the desire for her generation of the family to return to their true home.

For this reason, Luo Yi wandered around, almost the entire Land of Dawn in search of the descendants of scattered soldiers. However, over time, these people had become weak normals, because of their lives as ordinary people. They had become numb and cowardly. Luo Yi became furious, glancing at them with disgust and decided to look for the reincarnated Black Dragon alone. The passage of time and rare failures strengthened her resolve, because she believed Black Dragon would indeed be waiting for her and return to her hometown, to continue his leadership as before.

Under the guidance of the stars, Luo Yi finally found the reincarnation of Black Dragon, Yu Zhong, a student of the Great Dragon, who traveled all over the world. At that time, Yu Zhong didn't know anything about Luo Yi's past life. She found it hard to believe that this little man, who looked nervous in front of her, was the Fierce Black Dragon who destined to become her master.

Later, Luo Yi invited Yu Zhong to travel together in the Land of Dawn, hoping to ensure his judgment in the process. The moment was a journey that had a big influence on Yu Zhong's heart. The chaos caused by the war and the peaceful Dongyu created a sharp contrast within his mind and also made Yu Zhong doubt the world. At the end of his trip, Luo Yi told Yu Zhong about her past life and the whereabouts of the Reverse Scales, persuading him to lead them. However Yu Zhong found to be evil and hard to believe, at that moment.

Meanwhile, Luo Yi saw doubt and anxiety in his eyes. "This is not the right time. You lose everything, and you will definitely come to me." "You are not strong enough right now. If you want to become a true Fierce Black Dragon, you must break the Reverse Scales' seal and bear the consequences." After these words, Luo Yi let Yu Zhong go alone, knowing that Yu Zhong was very young and immature at the time.

Yu Zhong hadn't risked and lost everything, so he couldn't break the shackles of the world. But Luo Yi firmly believed that Yu Zhong would definitely return. Because the Reverse Scales had taken root in Yu Zhong's heart, and the stubborn Great Dragon would never want to be associated with it. All she needed to do was wait calmly and make the preparations, so Yu Zhong could obtain the Reverse Scales back.

She learned that her wait had finally ended when she saw Yu Zhong appear before her once again, after surviving the disaster. Yu Zhong's imperfections and simplicity had drastically disappeared. He had been reborn, after years of torture and cleansing. The King had returned. She silently looked at him, leading the soldiers she had gathered for him to kneel on one knee and greet their exterminated king.

Since then, Luo Yi had established her life with Yu Zhong. No matter where she was, she would always be with Yu Zhong, helping him to gather strength and prepare to return. Now, the first thing she had to do was to help Yu Zhong get the Reverse Scales from the Forbidden Soul Area and fulfill her old mission to complete the reincarnation of Black Dragon.

The dark, cold and mysterious deep sea is the last unexplored frontier in the Land of Dawn. Along the road from the surface, the sun fades and the temperature drops, deeper then, there is nothing but only total darkness. Called the Abysmal Sea, here the currents and high pressure are strong enough to tear up, evn the sophisticated material Eruditio had created.

This place is rightfully considered to be a forbidden zone of life, where no human has ever set foot. Only the remnants of a civilization that were abandoned and eliminated were sunk down to the bottom and piled up. Even so, it's not just death here. Many untrustworthy and indescribable creatures, including Atlas, have struggled and multiplied for centuries in this dangerous area.

They are one of the oldest living things in the Land of Dawn, devouring elemental creatures for power and survivability, which, however, made them imprisoned in this deepest place, by the Ancient People. Strong injections block light, heat, and paths above them, preventing their access to the world outside. To adapt to these high-pressure environments, the creatures have subsequently evolved, removing excessive shells and structures and developing various forms of liquid-like anti-matter.

In the endless darkness, there are no fights or disputes, only the law of survival: existence, change, and circulation. However, after the passage few centuries, things gradually changed and the law began to wither. Change does not originate from under the sea, but comes from above. The succession of civilizations and ongoing wars affected not only land, but also the oceans.

Everything began to deteriorate and the creatures in the Abysmal Sea, who were in a very bad condition, could no longer adapt to even worse situations. Withering and death comes without warning as the Abysmal creatures were forced to watch their detoriorating habitat. The biggest of them were the first to compete. These giant fibrous creatures withered their tentacles and bodies to rush up, but only to be halted and torn apart because of the Injunction.

Others couldn't understand their destiny, but they knew they needed a change, a change that was the instinct of all living things. Therefore, they began their efforts in trying to break the Orders. But the only prisoner who finally got rid of the Abysmal Sea was Atlas. As the most experienced individual, he felt change faster than his kind, when the Abysmal Sea was involved in it's ruins. He was the first to prepare for an escape.

Torn flesh warned other creatures that their bodies were highly vulnerable to extraordinary strength. To break an order, Atlas realized that he must regain a rigid shell. Atlas continued to roam and search within the depths of the darkness. Until one day, under a pile of remains of a past civilization, he found his destined shell, Mecha Sentry, a set of giant ancient machine armor.

These big manually operated armours were in fact, produced as war machines by the Iceland Golem, who had ruled the Northern Vale until their extinction, that is, the fall of the ancient golems. After which, they were abandoned by later civilizations, dumped into the sea, and completely isolated and forgotten by the world. Atlas slowly approached the Mecha Center, finding it rotting on the ocean floor, like a piece of rusting iron that was rigid, due to the loss of a control core.

He then entered the center of the machine core, stretching out its tentacles, injecting it into each joint, and began to take control. Along with a roar, Mecha entry who had been sleeping for thousands of years, turned on his energy powered eyes again. The forgotten body and the soul left behind became perfectly combined and joined together.

The giant Mecha Sentry broke through the Injunction and rushing from the inside to the surface, Atlas jumped into the raging sea. That was when the world welcomed Atlas's new player, Ironclad Kraken. Atlas felt strange and curious about this new world. He visited most of all the places, that could be reached via the sea, driven by a desire to learn about this world and strengthen himself.

He frantically withdrew knowledge from all kinds of creatures, races, and civilizations. Meanwhile, his control over Mecha Sentry became increasingly proficient. It seemed as if the machine was originally made for him. But no matter how long it passed. Atlas was always haunted by thoughts - its kind were still struggling in the Abysmal Sea, the largest prison and the farthest place in the known world. Now, Atlas not only had a hard armor but also a plan.

He would break the Commandment between the Abysmal Sea and the world, save his kind from an eternal prison. But for that he needed an ancient relic, there was a secret treasure known only to the pirates who were hidden somewhere in the Frozen seas of Northern Vale. It had the power to regenerate, and also possessed enough strength and energy to change the ecology of the whole ocean. Atlas wanted it, from the first time, he studied it's past story.

Story: Tigreal

Tigreal was born into the noble Weiting family. Since the establishment of the Moniyan Empire, the Weiting family has continuously provided military talents for the empire, and has guarded Moniyan’s imperial power and national security for generations. Tigreal’s generation is no exception. His father Gareth is the empire’s Minister of Defense and the emperor’s right-hand man, while his uncle Eckert is in charge of the border guards stationed at the most dangerous area between the southern part of the empire and the land of despair.

Although thousands of years have passed since the shocking changes that split the empire, the rumors and threats about the Abyss, heretics, and terrible creatures have never been far away. Since he was a child, Tigreal received systematic military training in the Castle Atlas, constantly learning various combat skills such as fighting, swordsmanship, and riding. The whole family had high hopes for him, hoping that one day he would be able to take over the banner of his father's generation and become the most steadfast and loyal guardian of Moniyan.

At the age of sixteen, Tigreal joined the Imperial Army with full devotion, and was incorporated into the Garrison Army ranks. During his four years in the Garrison Army, Tigreal led his troops to almost every part of Moniyan, which further exercised Tigreal's command ability and leadership ability, earning him the favor of the Knights of Light.

Subsequently, Tigreal joined the Knights of Light with his outstanding military talent and leadership ability. In the Moniyan Empire, only the most loyal and brave fighters who had undergone intensive training were eligible to be elected to the Knights of Light, and Tigreal became the youngest member of the Knights in history. He was the glory of his family and a genius in the eyes of the Moniyan people. Everyone believed that he would become a hero in the history of Moniyan, just like the martyrs of previous generations in The Corridor of Valor.

However, few peoples’ lives are such smooth sailing. Just when people thought that a star was about to rise, a blow soon befell Tigreal. In The Barren Lands, in a battle launched to completely drive the Abyss demons, who had been holding the area for a long time, back underground, Tigreal served as the commander of the Second Division Regiment in an army that was composed of the Knights of Light and the Imperial Border Guard. He was deployed on the left flank of the battlefield, and launched an attack on the demon army. However, due to a mistake by the command center, the Second Regiment went in deep alone and was besieged by the demon army.

Subsequently, the command center ordered the Second Regiment to leave some of the soldiers behind to bring up the rear and disperse to break through the envelopment. At this time, Tigreal was determined to live or die with his troops, but the elderly and experienced deputy Roland stopped Tigreal and made him retreat with the main force that he was commanding, while he and a small number of fighters would hold up the enemy. On the premise of retaining some effective soldiers, Tigreal reluctantly led the troops to withdraw.

After the battle, the demon army, which had long been entrenched where the southern part of the empire met the Barren Lands, was completely wiped out, but only the Second Regiment had suffered heavy casualties, with the unit that remained in place to hold up the enemy having been totally annihilated. Looking at the corpses and blood all over the ground, Tigreal felt full of guilt for the decision he made.

After this battle, in order to cover up their mistakes, the high-levels of the Knights refused to give the soldiers of the Second Regiment the honor they deserved, and called these soldiers "insubordinate disobedient" because they were greedy for merit and this led to unnecessary sacrifice. Afterwards, they tried to use medals and promotions as a way of tempting Tigreal to keep silent. Feeling the stress of the unsuccessful struggle and pressure from the family, Tigreal left Moniyan and came to the cold Northern Vale. In the icy and snowy north, Tigreal established a deep friendship with the rugged Northern Vale tribes, and more importantly, by fighting side by side again and again, Tigreal realized that as a knight, the life of a companion is more important than the outcome of a battle: because we choose to fight to protect everyone around us. If fighting only means sacrifice, then victory is meaningless.

After that, Tigreal returned to Moniyan, returned to the Knights of Light, and became the leader of the Knights over the years, guarding everything in Moniyan with determination and bravery day after day. In folklore, as long as there is a place where darkness invades, there will be the fearless Warrior of Dawn to lead everyone in driving away the darkness.
